Are you looking to stay with us at our dog-friendly BNB in Woolacombe? We outline some of our favourite walks in the area that are suitable to take your furry friend!
Morte Point
Take the exit out of the front door of our Bed and Breakfast, turn left and take the coast path towards Morte Point, you will explore a spectacular route, along the coastal path. With views towards Lundy Island. As you turn to the north of Morte Point... if you're lucky you may be able to see some seals sunbathing on the rocks. Just take a look at the photo of when we were last there!
The Lighthouse
Continue along your walk of Morte Point and you will arrive at Bull Point lighthouse, The lighthouse provides a visual aid to the villages of Mortehoe, Woolacombe and Ilfracombe, and warns of the inhospitable and rocky coast that lines the area.
Putsborough
A lovely walk along the stretch of beach from Woolacombe to Putsborough. This will take a good chunk of your day out, the beach is over two miles long. Dogs are allowed on the beach to run free in winter. During the busier times of year, there are restrictions. Generally, dogs are not allowed on the first part of the beach up to the steam. From the stream up until Mill Rock, they should be kept on a lead, and then are welcome off lead from Mill rock onwards. I always recommend stopping at Putsborough beach cafe for a cream tea to power you back to Woolacombe!
Potter's Hill
Just behind Woolacombe beach, near the enterance to Marine drive car park you will find the entrace to Potter's Hill. A fairly steep walk, that takes you up to a fantastic view of Woolacombe beach.
